Virginia Tactical Shooting Academy is a premier firearms training and retail facility committed to safety, education, and exceptional customer experiences. We are seeking a highly skilled Web Developer to take full ownership of our digital infrastructure — including custom website engineering, hosting/server management, advanced integrations, and performance-driven web systems.

This is not a template-editing role. We are hiring a true engineer who can build, secure, scale, and optimize production-grade web platforms.

Position Summary

The Web Developer will architect, build, and maintain fully custom-coded web platforms, manage hosting environments, implement complex integrations, and ensure all digital systems operate at peak performance and reliability.

Key Responsibilities

• Architect, design, develop, and maintain fully custom websites and landing pages (no pre-built themes or drag-and-drop solutions).
• Write clean, secure, and high-performance code using:
• HTML, CSS, JavaScript
• React (required)
• PHP, Python
• SQL
• Blade templating
• Build scalable front-end systems with modern component-based frameworks.
• Manage hosting infrastructure (Hostinger or similar), including:
• Server configuration and optimization
• Domain management and DNS
• SSL and security implementation
• Performance and uptime monitoring
• Connect and maintain a Hostinger-hosted custom website with a Wix backend, ensuring seamless system communication.
• Implement advanced integrations with CRMs, e-commerce platforms, payment gateways, scheduling tools, marketing automation systems, and third-party APIs.
• Optimize systems for speed, SEO, accessibility, and mobile responsiveness.
• Monitor system performance and resolve complex technical issues.
• Collaborate with leadership to align development execution with business goals.

Required Qualifications

• 3+ years of professional web development with demonstrated custom-coded production experience.
• Strong proficiency in:
• HTML, CSS, JavaScript
• React
• PHP, Python
• SQL
• Blade
• Proven experience managing hosting and domain infrastructure (Hostinger or equivalent).
• Demonstrated expertise in complex integrations and API development.
• Experience connecting independent hosting environments with Wix backend systems.
• Strong understanding of cybersecurity best practices, scalability, and performance optimization.
• Highly organized, self-directed, and capable of managing multiple complex projects.

Work Environment

• Remote or office-based depending on project structure.
• Occasional in-person meetings for key milestones and events.
