Role Overview:
As a Web Developer with expertise in SEO and Conversion Rate Optimization (CRO), you will play a critical role in driving our growth. You’ll report directly to the business owner and work closely with our digital marketing team member to shape our website’s performance, boost conversions, and optimize for search engines. This is a hands-on role perfect for someone eager to make a direct impact and grow with a startup poised for rapid success.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain our WordPress website, including custom themes, on-page content creation, plugins, and coding solutions tailored to our needs.
• Implement SEO strategies to increase organic traffic and improve search engine rankings, collaborating directly with the business owner to align with company goals.
• Apply Conversion Rate Optimization (CRO) techniques to maximize website conversions, such as driving sales or lead generation.
• Optimize the website for Google’s Core Web Vitals and other key performance metrics to ensure an exceptional user experience.
• Work hand-in-hand with the business owner and digital marketing team member to execute web development and optimization projects.
• Analyze website data and user behavior to identify opportunities for improvement and implement data-driven solutions.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest trends in web development, SEO, and CRO to keep us ahead of the competition.
• Find and report competitors to Google who use black hat SEO tactics.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• Proven experience in web development, with a strong focus on WordPress.
• In-depth knowledge of SEO principles and hands-on experience with SEO tools (e.g., Google Analytics, SEMrush, Ahrefs).
• Expertise in Conversion Rate Optimization (CRO) strategies and tools to deliver measurable results.
• Familiarity with Google’s Core Web Vitals and other performance metrics.
• Ability to write clean, efficient code and troubleshoot technical issues independently.
• Strong analytical skills to interpret data and make informed decisions.
• Excellent communication skills and a collaborative mindset, comfortable working directly with the business owner in a fast-paced startup.
