Job Responsibilities

• Ensure the timely delivery of translated and edited materials from English to Dari and vice versa.
• Ensure a high quality of work with Dari translations reflecting an accurate portrayal of the meaning found in the English source documents.
• Ensure high-quality editing of documents in Dari.
• Editing contains literature, spelling, grammar, and all types of corrections.
• Flexibility in working extra hours to meet deadlines.
• Flexibility to work the night shift.
• Ability to analyze summaries and translate discussions.
• Preparing the daily, weekly, and monthly reports and submitting them to the line manager.
• Responsible for analyzing and editing all translated scripts and dialogue in line with specific program outlines and channel requirements.
• Assist journalists and producers with appropriate translations of program copies, scripts, official documents, and project-related materials.
• Uploading content to websites.
• Uploading of content to social media platforms.
• Perform other duties as requested by the manager.

Qualifications

• Diploma or bachelor's in related field
• 3-4 years of work experience in relevant field
• Excellent spoken and written English, and Dari
• Excellent interpersonal communications skills
• Excellent typing skills in English and Dari
• Organizing and prioritizing
• Interest and understanding of the essential news
