WebGL / WebVR Developer (Contract or Project-Based)

Overview:
StratifyIQ is seeking a highly skilled WebGL/WebVR Developer to collaborate with our global team on cutting-edge, browser-based 3D and immersive experiences. This is a contract or project-based role suited for developers who are passionate about pushing the limits of WebGL, Three.js, and real-time graphics technologies to create interactive, next-generation experiences.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, architect, and implement engaging, high-performance WebVR experiences using WebGL-based frameworks.

• Build sophisticated interactive 3D applications leveraging Three.js and/or React Three Fiber.

• Collaborate with creative, design, and 3D technical teams to deliver visually striking and responsive 3D web experiences.

• Integrate and optimize 3D assets (GLTF, FBX, Blender exports) for seamless web performance.

• Optimize WebGL graphics and user interactions for cross-browser and cross-platform compatibility (desktop, mobile, and VR headsets).

• Maintain clean, modular, and reusable code for scalability across future immersive projects.

• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to 3D rendering performance and browser compatibility.

• Stay current with advancements in WebGL, WebXR, and real-time 3D technologies.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience developing and launching WebGL/WebVR experiences.

• Advanced hands-on expertise in React, React.js, Three.js, and/or React Three Fiber.

• Strong portfolio demonstrating interactive WebGL or WebVR projects.

• Deep understanding of GPU-based rendering, shaders, and real-time graphics pipelines.

• Practical experience applying Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) and SOLID principles in production environments.

• Familiarity with design patterns used in immersive and interactive web applications.

• Experience optimizing 3D models and assets for the web.

• Demonstrated collaboration with creative and technical teams on interactive 3D projects.

Bonus Skills:

• Experience designing immersive user flows or landing pages for WebVR content.

• Familiarity with Web Audio APIs or spatial audio integration in 3D web experiences.

• Contributions to open-source WebGL or 3D web frameworks.

Additional Requirements:

• Willingness to complete a background check.

• 4+ years of hands-on experience with WebGL.

• 3+ years of professional experience with Three.js.

• 6+ years of overall Web Development experience.
