Job Summary:
We are looking for a Lead Engineer to join our team and take ownership of our Webiny-powered digital platform. This leadership role demands a hands-on expert who not only deeply understands Webiny, serverless architecture, and headless CMS platforms, but also can guide cross-functional teams through complex product development cycles.
Serve as a technical leader, mentor, and project strategist, working closely with developers, product managers, and DevOps to build scalable, secure, and efficient serverless applications using Webiny on AWS.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the design, development, and deployment of enterprise-grade applications using the Webinyframework.
- Drive architectural decisions for scalable and maintainable serverless applications.
- Manage a team of engineers, ensuring best practices in coding, testing, and DevOps workflows.
- Collaborate with Product and Design teams to define requirements and deliver high-impact features.
- Ensure platform performance, security, and compliance across services.
- Own and evolve our CMS strategy with Webiny, including plugin customization, GraphQL APIs, and multi-tenant solutions.
- Conduct code reviews, provide mentorship, and foster a high-performing engineering culture.
- Monitor and manage budgets and timelines for large-scale Webiny projects.
- Work closely with DevOps teams to optimize CI/CD pipelines, AWS Lambda functions, and infrastructure-as-code (IaC).
Required Qualifications:
- 7+ years in software engineering, with 3+ years in a lead or managerial role.
- 2+ years of experience working directly with Webiny or similar headless CMS platforms.
- Deep knowledge of serverless architecture (AWS Lambda, API Gateway, DynamoDB, etc.).
- Strong programming skills in Node.js, TypeScript, and experience with GraphQL APIs.
- Experience with infrastructure-as-code tools (Terraform, Pulumi, or AWS CDK).
- Proven track record in leading complex technical projects from concept to delivery.
- Strong understanding of CI/CD practices, monitoring tools, and DevSecOps principles.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Contributions to the Webiny open-source project or plugins.
- Familiarity with JAMstack, static site generation, or frontend frameworks (React, Next.js).
- Experience with multi-tenant architectures and SaaS platforms.
- Knowledge of CMS migration strategies and content modeling.
