Website Developer (Full Stack: Shopify and Custom Development)

Position Overview:This role requires a developer who can not only manage, maintain, and optimize our existing Shopify stores but also build fully custom-coded projects from scratch using modern technologies, with hands-on experience with both front-end and back-end technologies, and a solid understanding of performance optimization for eCommerce.

Role and Responsibilities:As a Full Stack Developer, you will be responsible for developing, deploying, and maintaining various web applications, including Shopify eCommerce stores, portfolio websites, and custom web applications. You will collaborate with designers and other stakeholders to create engaging and responsive web experiences.

Key Responsibilities:

1) Shopify Development: Build, customize, and optimize Shopify stores using Liquid, Shopify API, and third-party apps. Troubleshoot and enhance existing Shopify stores.

2) Front-End Development: Build responsive, pixel-perfect UIs using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and modern frameworks like React or Vue.js.

3) Back-End Development: Develop back-end logic and services using Node.js, Express, and databases (e.g., MongoDB, MySQL).

4) API Integration: Work with RESTful APIs and third-party APIs for seamless integration into the platforms you build.

5) Deployment & Maintenance: Deploy websites and applications to hosting environments such as AWS, DigitalOcean, or Netlify and perform regular updates and optimizations.

6) Collaboration & Communication: Collaborate with other team members and designers to ensure the product meets business requirements. Participate in sprint planning and code reviews.

Required Skills & Experience:

- Proven Experience: 3+ years of professional experience in full-stack web development, including eCommerce (Shopify) and custom websites.

- Shopify Expertise: Deep knowledge of Shopify development, including Liquid templating, app integrations, and creating custom Shopify themes and plugins.

- Front-End Skills: Strong experience with HTML, CSS, JavaScript (ES6+), and front-end frameworks (React, Vue.js, or similar).

- Back-End Skills: Proficiency in back-end technologies such as Node.js, Express, or PHP. Familiarity with API development and integration (RESTful APIs).

- Database Knowledge: Experience with databases like MongoDB, MySQL, or PostgreSQL, and the ability to design and optimize schemas.- Version Control: Proficient in Git and GitHub for version control and collaboration.

- Responsive Design: Experience building mobile-first, responsive websites with an eye for detail and design consistency.

- Deployment & DevOps: Experience deploying web applications to cloud platforms (AWS, Heroku, Netlify, etc.), continuous integration, and working with containers (Docker) is a plus.

- Cross-browser Compatibility: Ensuring websites work seamlessly across different browsers and devices.
