Website Developer (Wordpress & Shopify) - Remote

We are seeking a talented and experienced Website Developer to join our dynamic team. As a Developer, you will play a crucial role in designing, developing, and maintaining our clients' websites on both WordPress and Shopify platforms. The ideal candidate should have a strong proficiency with a focus on creating visually appealing and functional websites that enhance the user experience.

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with the design and marketing teams to translate design concepts into responsive and interactive WordPress and Shopify websites.
• Develop custom themes, plugins, and modules for both platforms to achieve unique and tailored functionality as required by project specifications.
• Implement best practices in web development, ensuring websites are optimized for speed, performance, and SEO.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to website functionality, compatibility, and responsiveness across various browsers and devices.
• Manage and maintain existing WordPress and Shopify websites, including updates, security enhancements, and performance improvements.
• Integrate third-party APIs and services to extend the functionality of websites, such as payment gateways, analytics, and CRM systems.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the seamless integration of website components with other systems and tools.
• Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies, and make recommendations for improvements to enhance the overall quality and capabilities of our websites.
• Assist in the migration of existing websites to WordPress or Shopify, ensuring a smooth transition and minimal disruption to the user experience.
• Provide technical support and guidance to internal teams and clients as needed.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Web Development, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
• Minimum 4 years of experience in creating WordPress and Shopify websites.
• Proven experience with a strong portfolio showcasing WordPress and Shopify projects.
• Expertise in back-end development using PHP and MySQL.
• Familiarity with web security best practices and techniques.
• Knowledge of SEO principles and implementation.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across various departments and work in an agile environment.
• Prior experience with e-commerce and online retail websites is a plus.
• Shopify and WordPress certifications are desirable but not mandatory.
