Our company is a leading retailer specializing in high-quality home furnishings and décor. We are dedicated to providing our customers with stylish and functional design solutions to transform their living spaces. In addition to our retail business, we operate several other websites across various sectors. As we continue to grow, we are looking for a skilled and motivated Website Manager to manage and improve the performance of all our websites. This part-time position will work closely with our Marketing Manager, design teams, and the Owner of the company to ensure our websites are optimized for success, and to keep all parties informed about key changes and improvements.
Job Description:
As Website Manager, you will oversee and optimize the daily operation of the company's e-commerce website and other company websites. You will collaborate with the Marketing Manager and other teams to ensure all sites are updated, functional, and aligned with each brand's objectives. In this role, you will work closely with the Owner to keep them informed about website improvements, new features, and ongoing changes, ensuring alignment with business goals and strategic priorities.
Key Responsibilities:

  • Website Management: Oversee the daily operation of the company's e-commerce website, as well as other company websites. Ensure all sites are up-to-date, fully functional, and optimized for desktop and mobile users.
  • Content Updates: Collaborate with the Marketing Manager and other internal teams to ensure content (product listings, pricing, promotions, and general information) is accurate and current across all websites.
  • Cross-site optimization: Identify areas of improvement across all company websites and work proactively to optimize functionality, user experience, and overall site performance.
  • Performance Monitoring: Utilize website analytics tools (Google Analytics, etc.) to track performance and make data-driven recommendations for improving traffic, engagement, and conversion rates.
  • Search Engine Optimization (SEO): Continuously optimize each site for SEO, ensuring product and content pages are optimized to rank well in search engines and improve organic traffic.
  • E-commerce Optimization: Manage the online shopping experience for SBG Home and Design’s retail website, from product discovery to checkout, ensuring a smooth, intuitive, and secure purchasing process.
  • Troubleshooting: Address any technical issues or website bugs across all sites to ensure websites are secure, fast, and error-free.
  • Collaborative Projects: Work with the Marketing Manager and design teams to ensure that the websites’ aesthetic, content, and overall experience align with each brand’s identity.
  • Website Maintenance: Oversee regular updates to CMS, plugins, and security patches, ensuring all websites are up to date with the latest features and security measures.
  • Continuous Improvement: Take initiative to improve the websites wherever necessary, from UI/UX enhancements to functional upgrades, to enhance the overall user experience and meet business goals.
  • Sales & Promotions: Coordinate with the Marketing Manager to ensure seasonal promotions, discounts, and special offers are reflected accurately across all websites and optimized to drive conversions.
  • Reporting: Provide regular performance reports, website insights, and recommendations for improvements to senior management.
  • Industry Trends: Keep up to date with the latest trends in web design, e-commerce, and digital marketing to ensure our websites remain competitive and innovative in the market.
  • Owner Collaboration: Work closely with the Owner of the company to keep them informed of ongoing changes, improvements, and future plans for all websites. Regularly update them on key performance indicators, planned upgrades, and any strategic shifts that may impact the business.
  • Marketing Team Collaboration: Actively participate in marketing team meetings, focusing on website improvements, campaign development, and aligning website strategies with broader marketing initiatives. You will be expected to contribute ideas for website enhancements and provide feedback on how the website can better support marketing efforts.
  • Qualifications:
  • Proven experience managing multiple websites, particularly in a retail e-commerce setting (experience with platforms like Shopify, E-commerce, Mailchimp, Squarespace, WordPress, etc. is preferred).
  • Strong technical knowledge of website management, HTML/CSS, and basic web development concepts.
  • Experience using Google Analytics, SEO tools (SEMrush, Ahrefs, etc.), and e-commerce platforms to track performance and improve user experiences.
  • Demonstrated ability to improve websites based on data, feedback, and best practices in design, functionality, and content management.
  • Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects across various websites simultaneously.
  • Strong understanding of UX/UI best practices for both e-commerce and informational websites.
  • Ability to work closely with cross-functional teams, particularly the Marketing Manager, to align website strategies with broader business goals.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage projects with minimal supervision.
  • A passion for home design, technology, and digital marketing is a plus!
  • References & Portfolio: Candidates must submit a portfolio of past website projects, along with references from previous employers or clients to demonstrate expertise and successful project outcomes.

- Must be able to commute to Westchester, NY reliably.   • Experience with A/B testing and conversion rate optimization (CRO).
  • Familiarity with graphic design tools (Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, etc.) to help update visual elements on the websites.
  • Basic knowledge of JavaScript or experience with CMS platforms like Shopify, WordPress, Squarespace, etc.
  • Understanding of e-commerce security best practices, including SSL certificates, payment gateways, and data protection.
  • Must know Shopify
