Position Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and proactive Website Manager to oversee the migration and optimization of websites for local home service businesses. This role supports our clients' brick-and-mortar operations by ensuring their online presence is comprehensive, user-friendly, and optimized for local visibility. The ideal candidate will possess deep expertise in WordPress, along with strong technical acumen, project management skills, and a focus on driving performance through website enhancements and local optimization strategies.

Organizational Relationships: The Website Manager will work closely with the Web Development, SEO, and Content teams. Collaboration with internal stakeholders and client-facing teams is essential to deliver seamless website migrations, optimizations, and ongoing management.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the migration of client websites to WordPress platforms, ensuring smooth transitions, data integrity, and minimal downtime for local home service businesses.
- Optimize websites for local search performance, including implementing on-page SEO, mobile responsiveness, site speed improvements, and integration with local directories like Google Business Profiles.
- Collaborate with clients to update and maintain website content, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and alignment with local branding (e.g., service areas, contact details, and hours).
- Audit and resolve website issues such as broken links, duplicate content, or technical errors to enhance user experience and search engine rankings.
- Leverage WordPress best practices, plugins (e.g., Rank Math SEO, caching tools), and local optimization techniques to boost visibility in Google's Local Pack and other map-based results for home service locations.
- Track and report key performance indicators (KPIs), including site traffic, load times, conversion rates, and local search rankings, while identifying opportunities for further optimization.
- Develop and maintain strong client relationships as a trusted advisor for website strategy, migration planning, and ongoing optimization.
- Stay current on WordPress updates, core themes/plugins, industry trends in local SEO, and emerging tools for website management and optimization.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in website management, migration, and optimization, with deep expertise in WordPress (including custom themes, Elementor, plugins, and multisite setups).
- Technical proficiency with WordPress tools, hosting platforms (e.g., WP Engine), and local optimization software like BrightLocal, SERanking, or Ahrefs.
- Strong knowledge of local SEO fundamentals, including schema markup, NAP consistency, keyword research targeted to local audiences, and integration with mapping services.
- Experience with website auditing tools, performance optimization (e.g., GTmetrix, Google PageSpeed Insights), and resolving technical issues like security vulnerabilities or migration conflicts.
- Client relationship management experience, with excellent communication skills to engage stakeholders and clients.
- Project management skills, with the ability to meet deadlines and handle multiple client website projects simultaneously.
- Proficiency with collaboration tools like Airtable, Discord/Slack/Teams, Monday.com, and Google Workspace.
