The Website Manager at Visit Tucson is responsible for the day-to-day management, optimization, and continuous improvement of all Visit Tucson websites to support organizational marketing and engagement objectives. This role ensures that the website serves as an effective, user-friendly platform for visitors and to discover and explore the destination through strategic content management, performance monitoring, and cross-team collaboration. By maintaining a modern, accessible, and well-optimized website that aligns with Visit Tucson's brand standards, the Website Manager directly contributes to driving visitor interest and measurable web engagement.
Core Job Duties:
- Oversee the daily operation, management, and maintenance of Visit Tucson websites using our dedicated content management system (CMS).
- Build, update, and optimize web pages for user experience and accessibility, ensuring content is visually engaging and aligned with Visit Tucson brand standards.
- Implement and refine site navigation, layout, and structure with a focus on intuitive UI/UX principles and current trends in web design.
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to create and deliver timely website updates.
- Write, edit, and publish engaging website content including blog articles, landing pages, and promotional materials, ensuring clarity, accuracy, and SEO best practices.
- Manage and optimize digital assets (photos, videos, graphics) for web, maintaining an organized asset library and ensuring fast, high-quality delivery.
- Monitor website analytics and user behavior to identify trends and opportunities for improvement.
- Support SEO strategies by optimizing on-page elements, meta data, and structured content.
- Work with marketing team to develop, monitor, and report on digital campaigns.
- Serve as primary liaison with third-party vendors for web enhancements, troubleshooting, or technical improvements; communicate specifications and ensure delivery meets objectives.
- Participate in planning and brainstorming sessions to advance website features, digital storytelling, and overall user experience.
- Stay updated on industry trends, emerging tools, and standards to ensure Visit Tucson's web presence remains modern, efficient, and competitive.
- Recommend and implement new technologies, CMS features, or third-party integrations as appropriate.
- Lead the creation and distribution of Visit Tucson's E-newsletters, ensuring high deliverability, visual appeal, and compliance with best practices.
- Support reporting on website and campaign performance for marketing leadership.
Additional Responsibilities:
- Backup support for graphic design and digital asset editing, as needed.
- Involvement in the overall success of Visit Tucson through initiative, active participation and regular input/feedback.
- Other duties as assigned.
- This job has no supervisory responsibilities.
Necessary Skills and Experience:
- Minimum 3 years' experience in website and/or CMS management in a marketing, content, or digital communications setting.
- Demonstrated expertise in front-end website management, UI/UX best practices, and optimizing sites for engagement and conversions.
- Experience building and managing web pages in contemporary CMS platforms (e.g., WordPress, Drupal, Squarespace, etc.).
- Familiarity with GA4 and SEO best practices.
- Strong writing, editing, and content strategy abilities.
- Experience with image/video editing and asset management tools, specifically Adobe Creative Cloud applications, is a plus.
- Basic knowledge of HTML and CSS is a plus.
- Excellent organizational, time management, and communication skills.
- Passion for continuous learning and adapting to new technologies and trends.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines across multiple projects.

Other Qualifications:
- Must be able to travel and willing to work evenings or weekends.
- Must have reliable transportation, a valid Arizona driver’s license, valid auto insurance, and a good driving record.
Compensation & Benefits:
- This is a full-time exempt position that will require some travel and work on nights and weekends. Scheduled hours may vary.
- Hybrid/Work from Home eligibility.
- Compensation is flexible and is commensurate with experience.
