Website Manager

Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Website Manager contractor to maintenance the website for Family Friendly New Mexico, a nonprofit organization. In this role, you will be responsible for managing website content, implementing SEO strategies, managing the Family Friendly Business Award application, posting blog content written by the team, and providing tech support as requested. enhancing user experience to drive engagement and conversions.

Duties

• Oversee completion and implementation of updates to the Family Friendly Business Award application system as well as other website forms, email integration, workflows, and backend functionality
• Oversee regular CMS/plugin updates, backups, and hosting support (via Bluehost)
• Document all key technical processes and maintenance tasks
• Provide training and onboarding support to future website implementor(s), volunteers, and interns.
• Provide one website audit report with recommendations for improvements every six months
• Post blogs in a timely manner as requested by FFNM team with SEO optimization and correct formatting.
• Provide technical support for website related issues including but not limited to password resets, portal access, application bugs, and cybersecurity risks
• Maintain website for security, legal compliance, and healthy operation.
• Submit summary reports with links to documentation and key updates
• Submit Monthly traffic report
• Submit Family Friendly Business Award Application data as requested by FFNM team

Communications

• No recurring meetings required
• Brief direction/check-ins provided by Project Manager via email or short calls

Experience

• Proven experience managing websites with references for work
• Strong proficiency in WordPress
• Extensive knowledge of SEO best practices
• Demonstrated ability to optimize websites for search engines
• Skilled in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, SQL for troubleshooting technical issues and customizing website features
• Ability to analyze performance metrics regularly to make recommendations for website optimization.

Some months will have more or less hourly commitments than others. Average monthly commitment is 20 hours per month. Contract is for $1000 per month.

Family Friendly New Mexico is a nonprofit organization that recognizes New Mexico businesses with family friendly policies and serves as a resource for businesses to increase and improve the policies they offer their employees. FFNM does not advocate for legislation or regulation but simply works to promote family friendly business practices to New Mexico businesses. FFNM supports businesses to become family friendly and improve their family friendly practices by providing educational seminars, a toolkit with sample policies as well as peer to peer support.

Pay: $1,000.00 per month
