Duties
- Prepare and serve high-quality coffee drinks and beverages using various POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
- Bake and prepare fresh baked goods, maintaining food safety standards and proper food handling procedures.
- Provide friendly, attentive customer service by taking orders, answering questions, and offering product recommendations to enhance guest satisfaction.
- Manage cash handling responsibilities accurately, including cashiering, POS transactions, and basic math calculations for sales totals.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the café area, including food prep stations, display cases, and seating areas.
- Assist in inventory management by monitoring stock levels of baked goods, coffee supplies, and other essentials.
- Follow all food safety regulations and health guidelines to ensure a safe environment for staff and customers.
Skills
- Proven experience as a barista with strong knowledge of coffee preparation techniques.
- Previous food handling or bakery experience is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS to process transactions efficiently.
- Excellent customer service skills with a positive attitude and strong communication abilities.
- Ability to manage time effectively during busy periods while multitasking between serving customers and baking duties.
- Basic math skills for cash handling, sales calculations, and inventory management.
- Knowledge of food safety standards, proper food preparation practices, and serving protocols within a café or retail environment.
