Weekend Caregivers

Overview

Join the compassionate team at Heritage Senior Care as a Caregiver! We are seeking dedicated and compassionate individuals to provide essential support to individuals in private homes. As a Caregiver, you will focus on enhancing the quality of life for those in your care by assisting with daily activities and ensuring their safety and well-being with dignity.

We are in need of caregivers who are available to work 4 to 8 hour shifts on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays In North County San Diego.

Duties

• Assist clients with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and meal preparation

• Implement and follow individualized care plans tailored to each client's needs

• Provide companionship and emotional support to clients, fostering a positive environment

• Perform heavy lifting as needed to assist clients with mobility or transfers

• Maintain confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations regarding client information

• Administer first aid when necessary and respond appropriately to emergencies

• Collaborate with healthcare professionals, family members, and other caregivers to ensure comprehensive care

Requirements

• Must have a current HCA, Livescan, and have a current TB test within the last 90 days or will be getting one within 7 days of hire

• Previous experience in caregiving or related fields such as nursing or working in assisted living is preferred

• Familiarity with care plans and the ability to implement them effectively

• Basic cooking skills to prepare nutritious meals for clients

• Certification in first aid is a plus but not required; training may be provided

• A compassionate demeanor with a strong commitment to enhancing the lives of those in your care
