Weekend Charge/Supervisor - RN/LPN

Hello! We are Citrus Heights Respiratory and Rehabilitation and we are looking to fill an open spot! We are seeking an energetic and dedicated Weekend Charge/Supervisor – RN (Registered Nurse) / LPN (Licensed Practical Nurse) to lead our healthcare team during weekend shifts. This vital role involves overseeing patient care, supervising nursing staff, and ensuring compliance with healthcare standards. • Saturday and Sunday
• Week day of your choosing
• 7am-7pm (FLEXIBLE and NEGOTIABLE)

<Duties>

• Supervise and coordinate nursing staff during weekend shifts, ensuring high-quality patient care and adherence to facility policies.
• Oversee patient assessments, vital signs, and medication administration, including IV infusions and catheter care.
• Ensure accurate medical documentation using Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems such as Epic or Cerner, maintaining compliance with HIPAA regulations.
• Conduct physical examinations, monitor ventilator and airway management, and perform basic life support (BLS) as needed.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams on discharge planning, behavioral health management, and dementia or memory care strategies.
• Manage emergency situations by implementing acute pain management protocols and utilizing critical care skills in Level I Trauma Center-like scenarios.
• Provide training and supervision to nursing staff on sterile techniques, infection control, ICD-10/ICD-9 coding, and other clinical procedures.

<Requirements>

• Valid RN or LPN license in good standing with relevant state licensing boards.
• Demonstrated supervisory or team management experience in healthcare settings such as long-term care, assisted living, hospital medicine, or acute care units.
• Extensive clinical experience including Skilled Nursing Facilities
• Proficiency with EMR/EHR systems (PCC), familiarity with medical documentation standards is essential.
• Strong knowledge of physiology, anatomy, pharmacology, and medical terminology related to patient assessment and treatment planning.
• Experience working with individuals with disabilities, developmental delays, or behavioral health needs preferred.
• Ability to perform venipuncture, IV insertion/infusion, catheterization, specimen collection/processing, and sterile technique procedures confidently.
• Excellent communication skills for triage assessments, family coaching sessions, and interdisciplinary collaboration.
• Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and best practices in infection control to ensure patient privacy and safety at all times. Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $35.00 - $44.00 per hour

Expected hours: 32 – 36 per week
