JOB DESCRIPTION
A weekend news reporter at the Butler Radio Network focuses on delivering timely, local news to the community. This role involves writing, recording, and editing news content.
Key Responsibilities
News Coverage: Gathering, writing, recording, and editing local news stories.
Anchoring: Writing and anchoring weekend newscasts, particularly for WISR 680 AM and WBUT 1050 AM.
Content Production: Producing, editing, and packaging audio, including interviews.
Digital & Social Media: Updating the station's website and utilizing social media platforms.
Breaking News: Responding to and providing coverage of urgent news situations.
Production: Operating audio equipment and, if required, producing Sunday morning programs.
Qualifications & Skills:
Experience: Previous broadcasting or reporting experience is generally required.
Technical Skills: Proficiency in audio editing and software.
Communication: Excellent on-air delivery and writing skills.
Knowledge: Deep understanding of the local Butler County market and news.
