Responsibilities

• Assist residents or clients with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support
• Monitor patient health by taking vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, and temperature; report any concerns promptly
• Support medication administration following proper protocols and HIPAA regulations to ensure patient safety
• Provide companionship and engage residents in social activities to promote mental well-being and reduce feelings of isolation
• Maintain a clean and safe environment by performing routine cleaning tasks and adhering to infection control standards
• Assist with meal preparation and feeding, ensuring dietary needs are met according to care plans
• Use specialized equipment such as Hoyer lifts or resident’s <PERSON> to safely transfer individuals with mobility challenges

Requirements

• Prior experience working in assisted living, nursing homes, group homes, or home & community care settings is highly desirable
• Knowledge of patient observation techniques and dementia or Alzheimer’s care is preferred
• Valid CPR and first aid certifications; ongoing training encouraged to stay current with safety standards
• Ability to lift heavy objects safely and perform physically demanding tasks as needed
• Familiarity with HIPAA regulations to ensure confidentiality and privacy of patient information
• Strong communication skills for effective teamwork and resident interaction
• Compassionate attitude with a genuine desire to provide excellent patient care in a supportive manner

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $20.00 - $30.00 per hour

Expected hours: 10 – 16 per week
