Weekend Welder Overview

SBI Manufacturing is seeking a reliable and skilled Weekend Welder to join our team. This position is scheduled for three 12-hour shifts Friday through Sunday. In this role, you will be responsible for welding and fabricating metal components according to specifications while maintaining high standards of quality and safety. The ideal candidate has experience in a manufacturing environment, strong attention to detail, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team to meet production goals during weekend production operations.

Schedule

• Friday through Sunday
• Three 12-hour shifts
• Weekend position with consistent full-time hours

Duties

• Perform MIG and/or TIG welding on steel, stainless steel, and aluminum materials
• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and work orders
• Set up and operate welding equipment and tools
• Inspect finished welds to ensure they meet specifications and quality standards
• Assist with grinding, fitting, and finishing parts as needed
• Maintain a clean and organized work area
• Follow all safety procedures and company policies
• Collaborate with team members and supervisors to meet weekend production goals

Skills

• Previous welding experience preferred (manufacturing or fabrication environment)
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints
• Strong attention to detail and quality
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods
• Basic knowledge of welding equipment and safety procedures
• Reliable attendance and strong work ethic

Pay: $23.00 - $27.00 per hour
