Job Summary

The Weighbridge Operator will be responsible for the accurate weighing of inbound and outbound materials, updating system records, preparing weighment reports, and coordinating with production and logistics teams to ensure smooth flow of materials within the steel plant.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate the weighbridge system to weigh trucks, raw materials, and finished goods.
• Record weights accurately in the system/database.
• Issue weighment slips and verify documentation for incoming and outgoing materials.
• Communicate with drivers, logistics staff, and warehouse teams.
• Monitor weighbridge equipment and report maintenance needs.
• Maintain daily weighment logs and reports.
• Ensure all weighing activities comply with safety procedures and plant rules.
• Prevent unauthorized or incorrect material movement by verifying documentation.

Requirements

• Diploma/ITI in any technical or administrative field.
• 2–3 years of experience as a weighbridge operator in steel, manufacturing, or logistics industries.
• Basic computer skills (MS Office, ERP entry, weighbridge software).
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry.
• Ability to work in shifts and in industrial environments.
