RESPONSIBILITIES

· Practice safe working habits and follow safety policy, procedures and Job Safety Analysis

· Ability to work towards continuous improvement of product quality

· Perform all position welding following prescribed procedures

· Must be able to position fabricated components in fit-up jigs and fixtures and use turning rigs when necessary

· Responsible for compliance with all documented procedures and employee handbook

· Responsible for maintaining good housekeeping

· Responsible for working with limited supervision

· Be able and required to weld all products within the business unit

· Must be willing to cross train and fill in as necessary in other departments

· Flexibility to team weld

· Perform any additional tasks as requested by the Team Leader

QUALIFICATIONS

· Minimum of 1 year welding experience.

· Be able to read assemblies, and welds from blueprints.

· Prepares, assembles, and tacks weld parts and surfaces to be welded

· Monitors the welding, burning, and fitting process to ensure parts are not overheated or damaged by warping, distortion, expansion, or shrinkage

· Must be able to read a tape measure and be able to operate an overhead crane

Pay: $21.48 - $22.48 per hour
