Lead team in completing production orders and delivering quality parts in a safe, productive manner and on time. Responsible for keeping shop operating efficiently, managing inventory and people to reach production target. Must be able to set up equipment and problem solve issues in department and communicate with other team leads as well as engineering and management. Manage team performance and compliance with Webster's policies and procedures.
Responsibilities:

Provides employee coaching and development. Assures that all employees follow company policies, procedures, and established work instructions.

Conducts frequent employee check-ins and assists the Operations Manager in managing/evaluating employees.

Provides training, support, direction, and guidance to department personnel to continually develop their work habits, job skills, and safety practices.

Establish a safe work environment by properly maintaining equipment and safe work procedures.
Requirements
-
High School diploma required
- Technical training and or work experience in a manufacturing environment preferred
-
5-7 years of welding exposure.
- Ability to read engineering drawings and high mechanical aptitude.
- Ability to perform Tig welding tasks
- Heli-Arc weld experience
- Ability to read blueprints, technical layouts/sketches

Ability to follow verbal or written instructions

Knowledge and experience using both manual and power hand tools

Ability to use manual arc, wire and mig welders.
- Familiar with fixtures, jigs, clamps and other positioning devices

Must be detail oriented

Ability to work in a fast- paced environment

Ability to work overtime and weekends if required
- Familiar with working in a warehouse/manufacturing environment

- The employee is occasionally exposed to outside weather conditions and a plant which is not temperature controlled.
- Inside Work is typically performed in a factory environment and is usually very loud.
- In the factory environment, the employee may be exposed to hazardous materials and/or greasy or slippery factory floors.
