Joining our dynamic team, BC Steel Buildings, is currently seeking dedicated, safety-oriented Welders to contribute to our ongoing success. As a vital part of our workforce, you will be involved in the fabrication of steel frames and building components. Ability to MIG & Submerged Arc (SAW) weld and use grinders, and plasma torches. Responsibilities May Include, But Not Limited To:

• Scrapers, 7” grinders, welding hood and gouger for tools used
• Safely perform skilled welding in the fabrication of steel frames and building components
• Maintain proper housekeeping of assigned work area
• Must always have a high awareness for safety
• Any other duties assigned
• Work in compliance with safety guidelines and wear appropriate protective gear.
• Collaborate with colleagues to achieve project goals.
• Must follow welding procedures
• Set up welding equipment, including selecting appropriate tools and materials.

Preferred Qualifications & Experience:

• Familiar/fluent in MIG & Sub-Arc (SAW) processes
• Previous experience with plasma torches & oxy acetylene cutting a plus
• Welding certifications beneficial but not required
• Ability to read a tape measure

Requirements

• Ability to lift 50lbs: bend, squat, kneel and or stand for extended periods of time
• Must wear proper safety equipment
• Knowledge of basic math (add, subtract, multiply & divide fractions)
• Proficiency in English, both spoken and written, is essential within our manufacturing plant to

ensure compliance with safety protocols and accurately interpret job orders.

Due to the safety nature of this position an applicant will be required to pass a drug test despite whether they have a medical card.

Salary Description

$17.00- $20.00 hr Day Shift / Night Shift + $1.50 Differential

Compensation may be adjusted with extensive experience, and a thorough evaluation will be conducted during the interview process.
