Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Welder to join our fabrication team. In this role, you will be responsible for fabricating, assembling, and repairing metal components using various welding techniques. Your expertise will ensure that all projects meet safety standards, quality specifications, and industry codes. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on diverse projects, from pipeline installation to HVAC systems, in a fast-paced environment that values precision and craftsmanship.
Responsibilities
- Perform MIG (Metal Inert Gas) & TIG (Tungsten Inert Gas) welding, and other welding processes to join metal parts according to blueprints and schematics.
- Read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and blueprints to accurately execute welding tasks.
- Prepare materials by cutting, grinding, fitting, and aligning components using hand tools and power tools.
- Use calipers, pipe threading equipment, tube bending tools, and other mechanical devices to ensure precise fabrication.
- Maintain compliance with ASME (American Society of Mechanical Engineers) codes & standards during all welding and fabrication activities.
- Conduct routine inspections of welds for quality assurance; perform soldering and basic math calculations as needed for measurements.
- Support team efforts by maintaining a clean workspace, inspecting tools for safety, and documenting work progress thoroughly.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in welding with proficiency in MIG, FCAW, TIG welding techniques.
- Strong ability to read schematics and technical drawings accurately.
- Mechanical knowledge of hand tools, power tools, pipe threading equipment, calipers, and schematics.
- Familiarity with industry standards such as ASME codes & standards related to welding and fabrication.
- Ability to perform basic math calculations for measurements and adjustments; experience with tube bending is advantageous.
- Knowledge of fence & gates is desirable.
- Excellent attention to detail combined with strong problem-solving skills; ability to work independently or as part of a team in fast-paced settings.
