Overview
We are seeking a skilled and energetic Welder to join our dynamic manufacturing and construction team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for fabricating, assembling, and repairing metal components with precision and efficiency. Your expertise will help ensure that projects meet safety standards, quality expectations, and project deadlines. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on diverse projects, from pipe fabrication to structural steel assembly, in a fast-paced environment that values craftsmanship and safety.

Duties

  • Perform MIG (Metal Inert Gas), FCAW (Flux-Cored Arc Welding), TIG (Tungsten Inert Gas) welding, and other welding techniques to join metal components according to blueprints and schematics.
  • Read and interpret detailed technical drawings, schematics, and blueprints to accurately execute welding tasks.
  • Use hand tools, power tools, calipers, and pipe threading equipment to prepare materials for welding and assembly.
  • Fabricate piping systems, including pipe bending, tube bending, and fitting fire sprinkler systems or HVAC components in compliance with ASME codes & standards.
  • Conduct maintenance on welding equipment and perform routine inspections to ensure safety and quality standards are met.
  • Assist with rigging, material handling, and assembly of metal structures or pipeline components on construction sites or manufacturing facilities.
  • Follow all safety protocols related to welding operations, including proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and fire prevention measures.

Experience

  • Proven experience in welding within manufacturing or construction environments, with a strong understanding of various welding techniques such as MIG, FCAW, TIG, soldering, and pipe welding.
  • Familiarity with blueprint reading, schematics interpretation, and mechanical knowledge necessary for precise fabrication.
  • Hands-on experience with hand tools, power tools, calipers, tube benders, and pipe threading equipment.
  • Knowledge of ASME codes & standards applicable to pipeline fabrication and structural steel work.
  • Construction site experience preferred; ability to work safely at heights or in confined spaces as required.
  • Basic math skills for measurements and calculations related to fabrication tasks.
  • Ability to read schematics related to HVAC systems or plumbing assemblies is a plus.
  • Strong understanding of rigging procedures for lifting heavy materials safely during installation or assembly. Pay: $18.00 - $22.00 per hour
