Job summary:

To carry out bodywork repairs to HGV trailers and bodies ensuring all jobs are completed in a timely manner.

Key Responsibilities:

  • MIG welding components
  • Carry out bodywork repairs to HGV trailers and bodies
  • Careful and precision use of power tools and manual tools
  • Follow instructions, specifications and drawings
  • Report faulty equipment and take out of use to safeguard against accidents
  • Report all injuries/accidents to Workshop Manager/Production Foreman/First Aider as soon as they occur
  • Keep work bay area tidy; taking care to ensure equipment/chemicals/tools are stored away after use
  • Carry out any other duties as requested by Workshop Manager
  • Working with mild steel/Aluminium and Timber
  • Ensure jobs are completed as per instruction and efficiently

Essential Qualifications and Skills:

  • MIG welding qualifications/experience
  • Organised with good attention to detail
  • Previous MIG welding experience is essential
  • Be flexible in their approach and adaptable in the task they are asked to perform
  • Must be able to work as part of a team and/or on their own initiative
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: £13.00-£15.50 per hour
