Job summary:
To carry out bodywork repairs to HGV trailers and bodies ensuring all jobs are completed in a timely manner.
Key Responsibilities:
- MIG welding components
- Carry out bodywork repairs to HGV trailers and bodies
- Careful and precision use of power tools and manual tools
- Follow instructions, specifications and drawings
- Report faulty equipment and take out of use to safeguard against accidents
- Report all injuries/accidents to Workshop Manager/Production Foreman/First Aider as soon as they occur
- Keep work bay area tidy; taking care to ensure equipment/chemicals/tools are stored away after use
- Carry out any other duties as requested by Workshop Manager
- Working with mild steel/Aluminium and Timber
- Ensure jobs are completed as per instruction and efficiently
Essential Qualifications and Skills:
- MIG welding qualifications/experience
- Organised with good attention to detail
- Previous MIG welding experience is essential
- Be flexible in their approach and adaptable in the task they are asked to perform
- Must be able to work as part of a team and/or on their own initiative
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
