This position is based at our Myers Controlled Power factory in North Canton, Ohio.

Duties and responsibilities:

1. Knowledgeable of all types of welding, (ex. MIG, TIG)

2. Able to weld all types of metals (aluminum, steel, stainless)

3. Able to read drawings

4. Make fixtures when required to make jobs easier and faster

5. Able to weld in all directions

6. Able to pass certification tests as required by job specifications

7. Able to do own fit-ups

8. Some metal finishing required

9. Able to read weld symbols

10. Follow directions

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or equivalent (GED)
• 1-2 years of welding experience
• Ability to read and understand documents written in standard English
• Ability to read and interpret production drawings and work instructions
• Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, verbal, or diagram form
• Ability to solve problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations
• Be safety and quality-oriented, accountable, dependable, reliable, productive, ethical, a strong communicator, innovative, a team player, and have a positive attitude
