Job Type: Full-Time
Pay: $20–$25 per hour (based on experience)
Schedule: Monday–Friday with overtime as needed

Position Summary

Nema Enclosures is seeking an experienced Welder to join our manufacturing team. This role is responsible for performing high-quality welds on metal components in accordance with customer specifications and company standards. The ideal candidate will have strong technical knowledge, attention to detail, and a commitment to safety and quality.

Reporting Structure

• Reports directly to the Welding Lead

Key Responsibilities

• Perform welding operations in accordance with customer specifications and drawings
• Ensure proper weld penetration and overall weld quality
• Interpret blueprints, welding symbols, and schematics
• Set up and operate welding equipment safely and efficiently
• Monitor voltage, amperage, and machine performance during welding
• Maintain welding systems and ensure all equipment meets safety and regulatory standards
• Follow preventive maintenance schedules and recommend improvements
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment
• Report equipment issues, safety concerns, or process inefficiencies to supervisors
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives for safety, cost reduction, and workflow efficiency
• Respond to emergencies and assist in corrective action when needed
• Perform additional duties as assigned by management

Qualifications

Education:

• High school diploma or equivalent required

Experience:

• 2+ years of welding experience or related background required

Skills & Knowledge:

• Strong understanding of welding symbols and instructions
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics
• Proficiency with welding equipment and tools
• Knowledge of weld settings including voltage and amperage
• Understanding of OSHA regulations and safety standards
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand, walk, bend, and kneel for extended periods
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs regularly
• Ability to work in a loud manufacturing environment

Work Environment

• Primarily indoor manufacturing facility with occasional outdoor exposure
• Exposure to heat, humidity, and varying weather conditions
• Moderate to high noise levels depending on work area
