Summary
We are seeking a skilled and safety-conscious Welder who fabricates, assembles, and repairs metal components used in production by applying welding techniques such as MIG, TIG, and/or Stick Welding. This Role ensures that parts meet quality, safety, and dimensional standards while supporting efficient workflow on the shop floor. The Welder works closely with Production, Technical Services and Quality to maintain high production standards and resolve issues as they arise.
Responsibilities
1. Weld metal components using approved processes (MIG, TIG, stick, flux-core etc.)
2. Knowledge of stainless-steel welding.
3. Read and interpret blueprints, weld symbols, and fabrication drawings.
4. Set up welding equipment, fixtures, and materials for each job.
5. Inspect welds for accuracy, strength, and appearance; perform rework as needed.
6. Fit, position, and clamp components prior to welding.
7. Operate fabrication tools such as grinders, saws, torches, and measuring equipment.
8. Maintain welding equipment and perform basic troubleshooting.
9. Follow all safety procedures, including PPE use, hot work protocols, and equipment lockout.
10. Document work completed and communicate issues to supervisors or engineering.
11. Assist with continuous improvement efforts to reduce waste and improve workflow.

Qualifications
1. High school diploma or equivalent.
2. Welding certification (AWS or equivalent) preferred but not always required.
3. 1–3 years of prior welding experience in a manufacturing or fabrication environment preferred.
Previous TIG (on Stainless Steel), MIG and Stick Welding experience.
4. On-the-job weld tests may be required.
5. Commitment to safety and quality control.
Work Environment
Requires use of PPE (e.g., wearing welding helmet, welding jacket or welding sleeves, safety glasses, ear protection, dust masks).
Workshop or factory setting with exposure to wood dust, noise, and machinery.
While performing duties, employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts; high, precarious places; fumes or airborne particles; and outside weather conditions.
The employee is occasionally exposed to toxic or caustic chemicals, risk of electrical shock, and vibration. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.

Pay: $21.00 - $23.00 per hour
