To assist in the safe and efficient manufacture of sheet and tubular steel products on site at priestly road. The range of products can vary but they will mainly include table frames, leg frames and component's for school and office furniture. Luggage pens, handrails and other components for vehicle conversion industry.

Main duties and responsibilities:

Production Your primary role will still be as a welder/fabricator. This will include the following:

• Take instructions from order book and supervisor.
• Work from drawings, sketches or description as appropriate
• Cutting steel stock to given dimensions
• Drill, de-burr and prepare steel
• Weld components in jig, or as per as per drawings to produce a finished product.
• Dress off finished product ready for painting

Equipment To perform your duties you will need to be competent in the use of:

• MiG welder
• Saws
• Drills
• Guillotine
• Folder
• Angle grinder
• Other general engineering tools

Health and safety

• Ensure that all work is being carried out in a safe and efficient manner.
• Maintain good housekeeping to ensure a safe working environment.
• Ensure that you use all of the appropriate safety equipment including gloves, goggles, welding screen, safety shoes and dust masks
