Welder

Responsible for set up and operation of basic welding equipment.

Key Position Results:-Maintain production standards-Continuous improvement-Safe and Quality production work-Efficient and Quality training of Welder Apprentices

Key Duties & Responsibility-Oxy/Fuel set up and use-Welding machine set up-Track torch-Moggy use-Train Welder Apprentice employees-Measurement tools use including hoist and basic hand tools-Other duties as assigned.

Critical Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:-Must follow all safety policies and procedures-Knowledge of and adherence to Palmer Mfg & Tank Policies.-Must be able to read and follow detailed instructions-Must be able to meet physical demands of job, including being able to independently lift 50 pounds, handle exposure to varying temperatures and ability to stand on your feet for up to 12 hours per day. Must be able to climb a ladder to get on top of tanks.-Welding symbols identification and basic understanding of shop prints-Top and Bottoms, Fit UP, Roll and Weld Test (must be proficient in at least 1 of these areas).-Must pass all weld qualification listed in key duties and responsibilities.-Demonstrate basic math skills and ability to read a tape measure-Basic Mechanical ability.-Must understand and follow the quality policy and procedures

Pay: $21.00 - $24.00 per hour
