Architectural Metalwork Installations Limited specialises in supplying and installing balconies, balustrading, staircases, canopies and secondary steelwork to blue chip contractors nationwide. The Company has a well-established portfolio of main contract partners that is continually growing, along with a trusted supply chain. Due to this continuing expansion, we have a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Welder to join our existing team.

The right candidate will be a hardworking and ambitious individual with excellent welding and fabrication knowledge with an ability to deliver works to a given programme.

You will be a down-to-earth team player and can work under pressure. You will have excellent time management skills and have the confidence and interpersonal skills to converse with Managers & Draughtsmen. You must have a CV demonstrating recent experience working on items of a similar nature to those that AMI manufacture.

Main Duties, Tasks and Responsibilities

Welding of architectural metalwork products in mild steel including stairs, balustrades, balconies, secondary steelwork etc

· Excellent TIG/MIG welding skills

· Experience of finishing and polishing stainless steel, preferential but not essential.

· Ability to interpret drawings

· General workshop machinery experience, such as bending, linishing, drilling, ironworking, saw cutting etc

· Jig design and set up for production runs is an advantage.

The role is based at our production facility in Sheffield.
