Job Summary

The Welder and Crane Installer is responsible for performing in shop and on-site fabrication, and installation of structural steel and related components. This role involves working both in the shop and at jobsites in various conditions, operating at heights, and ensuring all work meets safety and quality standards. Candidates must be dependable, safety-focused, and comfortable working in physically demanding environments.

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Perform Stick and MIG welding in all positions (flat, horizontal, vertical, overhead)
• Install and assemble structural steel, including red iron systems
• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and installation plans
• Measure, cut, fit, and align materials for proper installation
• Operate hand tools, power tools, lifts, and welding equipment safely
• Work at heights using ladders, scaffolding, and lifts as required
• Follow all company safety policies and job site procedures
• Inspect completed work to ensure quality and compliance with specifications
• Travel to job sites as needed

Skills & Qualifications:

• Must pass a welding test using Stick and MIG welding in all positions
• Valid current driver’s license required
• Ability to work at heights up to 100 feet
• Ability to lift, carry, and maneuver heavy materials
• Comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety
• Experience with red iron installation a plus
• Prior field installation or structural steel experience
