About Us: Kenney Industries is a growing Job Shop manufacturer specializing in high-quality metal fabrication and custom projects. We're looking for a skilled Welder to join our team and contribute to delivering precise, durable work in a safe and collaborative environment.

Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled and reliable Welder to fabricate, assemble, and repair metal components using MIG, TIG, and other welding techniques. The ideal candidate will have strong attention to detail, a commitment to safety, and the ability to read blueprints to produce high-quality welds that meet project specifications.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Read and interpret blueprints, sketches, and technical drawings to determine layout and welding requirements.
  • Set up and operate welding equipment (MIG, TIG, stick/arc, etc.) to join, fabricate, or repair metal parts.
  • Prepare materials by cutting, grinding, cleaning, and assembling components.
  • Perform welds in various positions (flat, vertical, overhead) on materials like steel, stainless steel, and aluminum.
  • Inspect completed welds for strength, quality, and defects; grind or finish as needed.
  • Maintain welding equipment and tools, performing routine maintenance.
  • Follow all safety protocols, including wearing protective gear and ensuring a safe work area.
  • Collaborate with team members on projects and meet deadlines efficiently.

Requirements and Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a Welder (2+ years preferred), with proficiency in MIG and TIG welding.
  • Ability to pass a welding test (e.g., MIG/TIG on steel or stainless).
  • High school diploma or equivalent; welding certification (e.g., AWS Certified Welder) is a plus.
  • Strong knowledge of welding safety standards and procedures.
  • Excellent hand-eye coordination, physical stamina, and ability to lift heavy materials.
  • Basic math skills for measurements and blueprint reading.
  • Reliable, detail-oriented, and able to work independently or in a team.
