Welder Fabricator

A Brooklyn Navy Yard Development Corporation employer partner is seeking a Welder/Fabricator to join our team. This position will report directly to the Shop Manager. Candidates must excel in high-end architectural metal fabrication, ornamental metalwork, and or metal sculpture/art fabrication, and be able to operate all standard workshop machinery. Strong on-site / installation skills are required.

Qualified candidates will possess the following skills/qualifications:

+ Minimum 5 years of experience

+ Excels at all types of welding (TIG, MIG, SMAW)

+ Familiarity with Laser Welding is a plus

+ Machining on manual vertical mill and lathe

+ Ability to read and interpret shop drawings

+ Fine metal finishing and application of patina/chemical finishes

+ Ability to manage your own time while also directing helpers on various tasks to assist you

+ Valid DL, SST, G35, F60, G60

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $30.00 - $45.00 per hour
