Welder / Fabricator

Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and skilled Welder / Fabricator to join our dynamic manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for fabricating, welding, and assembling metal components to meet precise specifications and quality standards. Your expertise will contribute to the creation of durable structures, equipment, and custom fabrications across various projects. Responsibilities

  • Interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to determine fabrication requirements
  • Perform MIG (Metal Inert Gas), TIG (Tungsten Inert Gas), FCAW (Flux-Cored Arc Welding), and <LOCATION> welding techniques with precision and consistency
  • Use hand tools, power tools, plasma cutters, press brake machines, and other fabrication equipment to shape and assemble metal parts
  • Read and utilize calipers, micrometers, and schematics to ensure accurate measurements and adherence to specifications
  • Operate rigging equipment and forklifts safely for material handling and assembly tasks
  • Fabricate sheet metal components, ductwork, piping, and mechanical assemblies according to industry standards such as ASME codes & standards
  • Maintain a clean, organized workspace while following safety protocols at all times

Skills

  • Extensive construction site experience with an understanding of on-site fabrication challenges
  • Proficiency in MIG welding, TIG welding, FCAW, <LOCATION> welding, and plasma cutting techniques
  • Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings accurately
  • Strong mechanical knowledge including pipe threading, assembly processes, and machining operations
  • Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, soldering equipment, and press brake machines
  • Basic math skills for measurements and calculations necessary in fabrication tasks
  • Knowledge of rigging practices for lifting and positioning heavy components safely
  • Experience working with ductwork, sheet metal fabrication, and manufacturing environments
  • Ability to operate forklifts safely and efficiently in a busy work setting
