Welder / Fabricator

We are looking for an experienced Welder / Fabricator to join our growing factory team in Lakenheath.

This hands-on role involves processing and fabricating raw materials to manufacture bespoke aluminium and mild steel products to a high standard. The successful candidate will be involved throughout the fabrication process from start to finish, ensuring all work is completed safely, accurately, and efficiently.

We are looking for someone with a strong fabrication background, excellent attention to detail, and a positive, team-focused attitude.

Key Responsibilities

• Fabricate and machine materials and components
• Cut, weld, and assemble products using various welding techniques
• Work from engineering drawings and specifications
• Carry out MIG and/or TIG welding to a high standard
• Operate hand and power tools safely and effectively
• Perform quality checks on finished products
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organised workstation
• Carry out basic machine maintenance where required
• Follow all health & safety procedures and company policies
• Support other members of the production team when required

Specialist Skills/Attributes

Essential

4-5 years of on-the-job experience working within same role or equivalent.

• Solid fabrication background in Sheetmetal
• Ability to work on their own, as well as part of a team
• Helpful and approachable with a positive ‘can do’ attitude
• Problem solving | Critical thinking | Attention to detail.
• Knowledge of engineering
• Ability to work with your hands.
• Have a current full driving licence
• Must have full access to transport to, from and during work

Qualifications

• GCSE Maths (or equivalent)
• Welding qualifications/certification preferred (Mig or Tig welding)
