Friday Lunches

We are seeking a 1st Shift Welder to become a part of our team!

Responsibilities:

• Manufacture and fabricate finished metal products in a timely manner to meet customer dates
• Follow blueprints to meet product specifications
• Calculate material measurements to verify specifications
• Conduct tests to evaluate weld quality and tolerance
• Must be able to work in team environment
• Follow upcoming workload so that your department is prepared and other departments are meeting expected completion dates to allow job/parts to be complete within your department on time
• Maintain production schedule
• Any and all parts that are in your area are to be checked for quality, continuous quality checks help ensure a quality end product
• Accurately labeled including creation of weldment tags correctly
• Parts/Weldments meet Preferred Machine quality standards
• Once a job is completed that part/weldment is to be moved to next step per the routing *immediately if part is HOT and due, not pushed at end of shift
• Department Inventory Items stocked to proper levels
• Report Welding Consumables and Weld inventory to Weld Lead
• Order/communicate with Weld Lead or Weld Manager before items run out.
• Enforce safe work practices
• Adjust to all weld/grind/passivation processes in order to complete orders on time or ahead of schedule
• You may be required to Tig weld, Mig Weld, plasma cut, Peel Plastic, Passivate Stainless, Grind/DA finish products as well as operate Slip roller in order to meet Order deadlines and due dates. We expect all staff to be open and willing to change processes and or weld stations as needed.

Qualifications:

• Previous experience in welding, manufacturing, or other related fields
• Familiarity with welding tools and procedures such as GMAW, FCAW, and GTAW
• Familiarity with engineering blueprints/schematics and weld symbols
• Ability to handle physical workload
• Must be dependable with strong work ethic
• Able to run a saw and potentially cut own material needed

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $23.00 - $28.00 per hour
