Welder / Fabricator / Machine Shop

We are seeking a technically skilled and dependable Welder/Fabricator to join our team. The primary focus of this position is welding and fabrication of metal parts and assemblies to precise specifications. The ideal candidate will also have experience or interest in machining and will be cross-trained on various machine tools, such as knee mills, bed mills, and lathes.

Because Monick is a small machine shop, employees are expected to “wear many hats” and contribute to multiple stages of the production process — from setup and welding to machining and final inspection.

Key Responsibilities

• Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and work orders.
• Fabricate, fit, and weld parts using MIG, TIG, and stick welding methods.
• Set up and operate cutting, drilling, and grinding tools as required.
• Ensure all parts are properly aligned, fitted, and welded per specifications.
• Adhere to production schedules while maintaining a high standard of quality and precision.
• Maintain welding equipment, fixtures, and tooling in good working order.
• Assist in machining operations (Bridgeport/knee mill, bed mill, lathe, etc.) as production needs require.
• Collaborate with team members to improve processes, solve problems, and meet customer deadlines.
• Follow all shop safety protocols and maintain a clean, organized work area.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $23.00 per hour
