Duties

• Assist experienced welders with preparing materials, tools, and equipment for welding tasks.
• Learn and perform MIG (Metal Inert Gas), TIG (Tungsten Inert Gas), FCAW (Flux-Cored Arc Welding), and FIT Structural Steel <LOCATION> welding techniques under supervision.
• Support fabrication activities including cutting, grinding, bending, and assembling sheet metal components.
• Read blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to understand project specifications.
• Operate hand tools, power tools, plasma cutters, press brake machines, and rigging equipment safely and efficiently.
• Use calipers, micrometers, and other measuring devices to ensure precise fabrication and assembly.
• Assist with pipe threading, ductwork installation, machining tasks, soldering, and mechanical assembly as needed.

Requirements

• Construction site experience or exposure to manufacturing environments is preferred but not mandatory.
• Basic knowledge of blueprint reading, schematics, and technical drawings.
• Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, calipers, micrometers, and basic math skills for measurements.
• Willingness to learn welding techniques including MIG, TIG, FCAW, plasma cutting, and <LOCATION> welding standards.
• Mechanical knowledge related to fabrication processes such as pipe threading and assembly.
• Ability to follow safety protocols rigorously on construction sites or manufacturing floors.
