We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Welder to join our Maintenance and Recycling Bin Manufacturing team. In this dynamic role, you will be responsible for fabricating, repairing, and maintaining metal components used in recycling bins and related equipment. Your expertise in various welding techniques, blueprint reading, and metal fabrication will ensure the production of durable, high-quality products that meet industry standards. Responsibilities
- Perform MIG, TIG, FCAW (Flux-Cored Arc Welding), welding to assemble and repair metal parts according to detailed blueprints and schematics.
- Read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and blueprints to accurately fabricate components.
- Use hand tools, power tools, plasma cutters, press brake machines, and machining equipment to shape and assemble sheet metal and ductwork.
- Measure materials precisely with calipers, micrometers, and other measuring instruments to ensure accurate fabrication.
- Operate forklifts, rigging equipment, and crane systems safely for material handling and assembly tasks.
- Fabricate custom parts using pipe threading, soldering, plasma cutting, and sheet metal techniques following ASME codes & standards.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment by adhering to safety protocols related to welding, machining, and construction site practices.
- Collaborate with team members on assembly tasks and mechanical repairs to optimize manufacturing efficiency.
- Conduct routine inspections of welds and fabricated parts to ensure quality standards are met or exceeded.
Experience
- Proven construction site experience with a strong understanding of safety procedures in industrial environments.
- Extensive hands-on experience with MIG welding, TIG welding, FCAW, welding, and plasma cutting techniques.
- Familiarity with blueprint reading, schematics interpretation, and basic math for precise fabrication work.
- Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, press brake machines, machining equipment, and ductwork fabrication tools.
- Knowledge of mechanical systems including pipe threading, soldering, rigging operations, and assembly processes.
- Ability to operate forklifts safely along with crane systems for material handling.
- Experience working within manufacturing or construction environments adhering to ASME codes & standards is preferred. - Stick Welding – outdoor and heavy-duty welding
- Flux-Cored Welding – thick and rusty metal applications
Schedule
- Day Shift: Approximately 7:00/8:00 AM to 3:30/4:30 PM
- Overtime may be required
- Must be available to work weekends as needed
Pay
Pay: $18.50 - $19.50 per hour
