Job Summary:
Viewrail is seeking a strong candidate to join our Metal Production Team. The Welder/Metal Fabricator will weld within our post line.
Position Requirements & Responsibilities: (These requirements are in addition to any and all Viewrail employment requirements and policies.)
Responsibilities:
- Fabrication experience in grinding and finishing raw material. Mild Steel, Stainless, and Aluminum.
- Read and interpret blueprints
- Read a tape measure
- Handle and store welding materials and tools in compliance with company procedures. Inspect and test welded surfaces for defects, ensuring high-quality standards.
- Prepare metal surfaces for welding by grinding, sanding, or cleaning.
- Set up and operate welding equipment, ensuring safe and proper operation.
- Perform minor maintenance and repair of welding tools and equipment.
- Follow safety protocols and wear protective gear such as gloves, helmets, and eye protection. Adhere to company quality and safety standards at all times.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Communicate effectively with other team members and supervisors.
- All other job duties and responsibilities as assigned
Required Skills:
- Ability to Mig/Tig Weld (Stainless, Mild, and Aluminum)
- Ability to weld Mild Steel is desired but not a requirement
- Ability to read and understand prints
- Able to read a tape measure
- Proficient Computer skills
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to multitask
- Strong sense and drive towards quality and safety in a workplace
- Problem solving skills and ability to think outside the box (critical thinking)
