Welder Metal Fabricator

Overview
We are seeking a skilled and energetic Welder Metal Fabricator to join our dynamic manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for fabricating, welding, and assembling metal components with precision and efficiency. Your expertise will contribute to the creation of high-quality structures and products, ensuring they meet strict safety and quality standards. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on diverse projects, utilizing advanced welding techniques and fabrication skills to bring designs to life.

Duties

• Read and interpret detailed blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to guide fabrication and welding processes
• Perform MIG (Metal Inert Gas), and welding techniques to join various metals including sheet metal and pipe components
• Operate power tools, hand tools, plasma cutters, press brake machines, and machining equipment to cut, shape, and assemble metal parts
• Use calipers, micrometers, and other measuring tools to ensure precise dimensions and tolerances in fabricated parts
• Fabricate ductwork, structural components, and custom metal assemblies for construction sites or manufacturing projects
• Rigging and handling heavy materials with cranes or forklifts safely during fabrication and assembly processes
• Follow all safety protocols in accordance with ASME codes & standards while maintaining a clean and organized workspace

Requirements

• Proven construction site experience with hands-on fabrication and welding tasks
• Proficiency in MIG Welding
• Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings accurately
• Familiarity with sheet metal work, pipe threading, plasma cutting, press brake operation, and mechanical assembly
• Knowledge of rigging procedures using cranes or forklifts for material handling
• Basic math skills for measurements and calculations essential for fabrication accuracy
• Mechanical knowledge related to manufacturing processes including machining and soldering
• Experience working with schematics for assembly instructions or system layouts
• Strong understanding of ASME codes & standards applicable to welding and fabrication projects
• Ability to operate hand tools, power tools, power saws, calipers, micrometers effectively
• Construction site experience is highly desirable for understanding project requirements in real-world environments
