Welder (Temporary Position)

Join our dynamic team as a Welder and bring your expertise in fabrication, assembly, and metal working to life! In this energized role, you will be responsible for executing precise welding operations on various materials, including sheet metal, aluminum, and tubing, to support fabrication, manufacturing processes, and custom fabrication.

Your mechanical knowledge and hands-on skills will ensure that every weld meets strict quality standards and safety protocols. This is an exciting opportunity for motivated individuals who thrive in fast-paced environments and are eager to contribute to impactful projects.

The opening in our Fabrication department is a temporary position, with the potential to turn into a permanent position.

The Welder will work full-time, 40 hours a week, Monday-Thursday (5am-3pm).

Responsibilities

  • Perform MIG (Metal Inert Gas), TIG (Tungsten Inert Gas), FCAW (Flux-Cored Arc Welding), and welding techniques to join metals with precision and consistency.
  • Read and interpret detailed blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to guide fabrication and assembly tasks.
  • Use hand tools, power tools, lasers, press brake machines, and other fabrication equipment to shape and prepare materials for welding.
  • Measure components accurately using calipers, micrometers, and other precision tools to ensure proper fit-up before welding.
  • Execute fabrication, and assembly of structural components following ASME codes & standards.
  • Rigging materials safely for lifting and positioning using cranes or forklifts during installation or fabrication processes.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area while adhering to all safety protocols related to welding, rigging, and construction site practices.
  • Collaborate with team members on complex projects involving machining, soldering, mechanical assembly, or schematic interpretation.
  • Conduct quality inspections of welds using visual assessment and non-destructive testing methods to meet industry standards.
  • Document work progress accurately through reports and logs while ensuring compliance with safety regulations.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience working on construction sites or manufacturing facilities with a strong understanding of welding techniques.
  • Skilled in MIG, TIG, FCAW welding processes; experience with welding is a must.
  • Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings confidently.
  • Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, plasma cutting equipment, press brake machines, and other fabrication machinery.
  • Knowledge of ASME codes & standards related to welding and fabrication practices.
  • Competence in using calipers, micrometers, schematics interpretation, basic math skills for measurements and calculations.
  • Mechanical aptitude with understanding of rigging procedures using cranes or forklifts for material handling.
  • Experience working with sheet metal fabrication, ductwork assembly, pipe threading, or similar manufacturing tasks preferred.
  • Strong safety awareness with adherence to OSHA regulations or local safety standards in construction environments.
  • Ability to work independently or as part of a team in fast-paced settings requiring attention to detail.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $25.00 - $29.00 per hour
