Position Overview

We are looking for a Welder / Assembler to join our skilled team. This role involves welding aerospace components to meet strict quality and regulatory standards. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background, attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform welding per established procedures and Welding Procedure Specifications (WPS).
  • Read and interpret detailed blueprints and shop travelers.
  • Inspect completed welds for accuracy and quality.
  • Meet performance and quality standards in a fabrication and machining environment.
  • Collaborate with Engineering and Tooling teams to improve weld fixtures and processes.
  • Assist in updating welding instructions in coordination with Engineering.
  • Accurately complete paperwork and digital documentation.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
  • Maintain attendance and take ownership of welding responsibilities.

Required Qualifications

  • Must pass AWS D1.1 3G Weld Test (Carbon Steel).
  • Experience with aluminum TIG/GMAW
  • Proficient in reading blueprints and interpreting weld symbols.
  • Demonstrated ability to weld to customer and internal specifications.
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
  • Basic communication skills to support team collaboration.
  • Must pass internal forklift certification for Class III and V forklifts.
  • Commitment to continuous improvement and quality workmanship.

Additional Information

  • Selected candidates will be required to complete a weld sample test during the interview process.
  • Due to ITAR requirements, applicants must be U.S. Citizens or U.S. Lawful Permanent Residents, or otherwise authorized to access USML technical data.

Physical Requirements

This position requires regular standing, handling tools, reaching, and lifting. Must be able to regularly lift up to 10 lbs, and occasionally up to 50 lbs. Reasonable accommodations may be made for individuals with disabilities.

Work Environment

Work is performed in a manufacturing environment with exposure to moving mechanical parts, occasional fumes or airborne particles, and loud noise levels. Safety equipment is provided.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $27.00 - $35.00 per hour
