Aerospace TIG Welder:
We are looking to hire a full-time Welders with openings on first shift 7:00am – 3:30pm Monday thru Friday.
POSITION SUMMARY:
Under limited supervision, weld metals & fabricate thin Steel, Stainless Steel, Nickel Alloy, Aluminum, and Titanium into various aerospace parts. The company primary business is aerospace components. Must be competent in using basic shop equipment following all safety precautions. The ideal candidate will also have a steady hand and great attention to detail. Knowledge of different kinds of metal and their properties is essential.
QUALIFICATIONS / EXPERIENCE / SKILLS REQUIRED:
Education:
Vocational trade’s high school diploma or equivalent, formal trade apprenticeship preferred. Must have sufficient education to read complex engineering drawings, perform advanced shop math, and keep accurate records.
Required Skills and Experience

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in manual GTAW welding of thin aerospace materials.
  • Ability to pass multiple position tests in Steel, Stainless Steel, Aluminum, Nickel Alloys and/or Titanium upon hire.
  • The ability to read weld blueprints, engineered drawings, and follow work instructions independently.
  • Familiar with fabrication tools such as saws, sanders, air tools, etc. and able to free hand fabricate to blueprint and tooling requirements.
  • Familiar with measurement equipment such as calipers, angle finders, fillet gages, and squares.
  • Experience using weld fixtures and welding positioners.
  • Be able to set up the welding machine for specific materials, thicknesses, and positions.
  • Will be required to become military weld certified in GTAW process and able to make some fixturing to meet print specifications.
  • Must be detail oriented, able to work independently,have strong time management and communication skills
  • Salary will depend on qualifications.

Pay: $18.00 - $32.00 per hour
