Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated and skilled Welder/Fabricator to join our dynamic manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for fabricating, welding, and assembling metal components with precision and efficiency. Responsibilities
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to determine fabrication specifications and procedures
- Perform MIG, TIG, FCAW (Flux-Cored Arc Welding), and <LOCATION> welding techniques to join metal components accurately
- Use hand tools, power tools, plasma cutters, press brake machines, and other fabrication equipment to shape and assemble materials
- Measure materials with calipers, micrometers, and other precision tools to ensure accurate cuts and fits
- Fabricate sheet metal components, ductwork, piping, and structural elements according to project requirements
- Operate rigging equipment and forklifts safely for material handling and assembly tasks
- Follow ASME codes & standards for welding quality and safety compliance during manufacturing processes
- Utilize basic math skills for measurements, calculations, and quality control checks
- Maintain a clean work environment by organizing tools, materials, and waste disposal efficiently
Skills
- Proven construction site experience with a strong understanding of safety protocols
- Proficiency in MIG welding, TIG welding, FCAW welding techniques, and <LOCATION> specific welding processes
- Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings accurately
- Skilled in using calipers, micrometers, hand tools, power tools, plasma cutters, press brake machines, and machining equipment
- Mechanical knowledge related to fabrication processes including pipe threading and soldering
- Experience with rigging operations involving cranes or hoists for lifting heavy materials safely
- Familiarity with manufacturing environments involving ductwork or structural assembly
- Basic math skills necessary for precise measurements and calculations in fabrication tasks
- Knowledge of ASME codes & standards relevant to welding quality assurance
- Ability to operate forklifts safely for material handling in a construction or manufacturing setting
