Overview
We are looking for a skilled Welder/Fabricator to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for fabricating, assembling, and repairing metal structures and components according to blueprints, drawings, and specifications. This role requires strong welding and metalworking skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to safety and quality.
Duties
- Fabricate and assemble metal structures, frames and components using MIG, TIG, and stick welding.
- Read interpret blueprints, shop drawings, and technical specifications.
- Measure, cut, bend, and shape metal materials using hand tools, power tools, and fabrication equipment.
- Operate welding machines, grinders, saws, torches, and other fabrication tools.
- Fit, tack, and weld components with precision and accuracy.
- Inspect finished products to ensure compliance with quality standards and project requirements.
- Repair and maintain metal products, machinery, and structural components as needed.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment, following all safety procedures and wearing appropriate PPE.
- Collaborate with supervisors, engineers, and team members to complete projects on time.
- Perform routine maintenance on tools and equipment.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED, required; technical training or welding certification preferred.
- MINIMUM 5 years of welding and fabrication experience.
- Proficient in MIG, TIG, and/or stick welding.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and work orders.
- Strong knowledge of metal types, grades, and fabrication processes.
- Competent in the use of hand tools, measuring instruments, and fabrication equipment.
- Ability to lift up to 50lbs and perform physical labor in varying conditions.
- Strong attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and commitment to quality.
- Familiarity with OSHA safety standards and safe welding practices.
Work Environment
- Shop and/or field environments depending on project needs.
- Exposure to heat, sparks, noise.
- PPE provided and required at all times
Schedule
Monday to Friday, 8:30am to 5:00pm, with overtime as needed.
Pay: $25.00 - $30.00 per hour
