Welder/Fabricator

Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Welder/Fabricator to join our manufacturing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for fabricating and welding metal components, primarily using TIG welding techniques, to precise specifications. This role requires a strong understanding of mechanical principles, proficiency with various hand and power tools, and the ability to interpret technical drawings. The position offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to high-quality projects within a dynamic environment.

Duties

• Perform MIG welding and other welding techniques on various metals, including sheet metal and structural components
• Fabricate parts and assemblies according to technical drawings and specifications
• Use hand tools, power tools, and fabrication equipment safely and efficiently
• Measure, cut, shape, and assemble metal components with precision
• Conduct quality checks on welded joints and fabricated parts to ensure compliance with standards
• Maintain a clean and organised workspace, adhering to health and safety regulations
• Collaborate with team members to meet production deadlines and project requirements
• Assist in the development of fabrication processes and improve existing techniques where applicable

Experience

• Proven experience in MIG welding, particularly <LOCATION> welding techniques
• Strong knowledge of fabrication processes involving sheet metal and mechanical assembly
• Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment
• Mechanical knowledge with an understanding of basic maths for measurements and calculations
• Experience working with assembly of metal components in a manufacturing or workshop environment
• Familiarity with safety standards related to welding and fabrication work is highly desirable
• Ability to read technical drawings and interpret specifications accurately

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: £12.29-£17.00 per hour
