Job Title: Steel Fabricator / Welder – Day Shift

Pay Rate: £14.50–£16.00 per hour (depending on experience)

Shift Pattern: Day Shift Only – 4 Day Work Week

Job Overview:
We are currently seeking an experienced Steel Fabricator / Welder to join our Bodies Division in Motherwell. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled professional looking for stable, full-time employment with a competitive pay rate and an attractive 4-day working week. The successful candidate will be responsible for manufacturing a range of subframes and assemblies for commercial vehicles, working from SOPs and CAD/engineering drawings to deliver high-quality results.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Manufacture a range of subframes and assemblies for commercial vehicles within the Bodies Division
• Work from SOPs, CAD drawings, and engineering drawings to precise specifications
• Carry out steel fabrication and welding duties to a high standard
• Ensure full compliance with all Health & Safety procedures and workplace regulations
• Promote equality and diversity within the workplace
• Accurately complete timesheets and job records
• Support production targets while maintaining quality standards
• Carry out additional duties as required by the Line Manager

Essential Experience, Knowledge & Skills:

• Proven experience working as a Steel Fabricator
• Strong steel welding experience
• Ability to confidently read and work from engineering drawings
• Accurate use of a tape measure
• Good knowledge of materials including box, angle, and tube
• Excellent timekeeping and reliability
• Ability to work independently and effectively as part of a small team
• Experience working from timesheets
