Welder/Fabricator

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Welder/Fabricator to join our dynamic manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will possess expertise in MIG and TIG welding, experience with fiber laser cutting, proficiency in operating a press brake, and a background in control box manufacturing. Additionally, advantageous experience in structural fabrication is preferred. Key Responsibilities:

• Perform MIG and TIG welding on various materials, ensuring compliance with industry standards and specifications.
• Operate fiber laser cutting machines to produce precision components.
• Utilise a press brake to bend and shape metal sheets as per technical drawings.
• Fabricate control boxes and other components according to design specifications.
• Collaborate with engineers and designers to ensure products meet quality and functionality requirements.
• Interpret and work from technical drawings and schematics.
• Conduct quality control checks on finished products to ensure they meet required standards.
• Maintain a clean and organised work environment, adhering to safety protocols and best practices.
• Participate in team meetings and contribute ideas for process improvements and efficiency enhancements.

Qualifications:

• Completion of a recognised apprenticeship in welding and fabrication or equivalent experience.
• Proven experience in MIG and TIG welding techniques.
• Familiarity with fiber laser cutting and press brake operation.
• Experience in control box manufacturing is essential.
• Advantageous experience in structural fabrication and working with various materials (steel, aluminum, etc.).
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently or as part of a team.
• Valid certifications in welding.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to lift heavy materials and stand for extended periods.
• Comfortable working in a factory environment with exposure to noise, heat, and welding fumes.
