Welder/Fabricator

Job Summary
We are expanding our Welding and metal joining team within our busy manufacturing site in Sunderland. Successful candidates will be responsible for fabricating and welding metal components with precision and efficiency, ensuring their work meets customers' specification and quality standards. This role offers an excellent opportunity to utilise your welding expertise in a dynamic environment.

Duties

• Mainly Mig and Tig welding of mild steel parts; mainly pipework up to 3 inch in diameter.
• Use of hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment safely and effectively
• Conduct inspections of completed welds and fabricated parts to ensure quality standards are met
• Maintain a clean and organised work area, adhering to health and safety regulations
• Collaborate with team members to complete projects within deadlines

Qualifications

• ideally a time served Mig and Tig welder, with experience in both.
• Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment (including turntables and jigs) safely
• Mechanical aptitude with a good understanding of maths for measurement
• Ideally, familiar with reading technical drawings.
• Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced setting
• Basic understanding of health and safety procedures related to welding and fabrication tasks

Experience:

• mig welding : 2 years (required)
